Andrewline Clay, affectionately known as Truly, to those who know and love her, was tragically the victim of a hit-and-run while riding her motorized bicycle on August 15th, 2025, in South Natomas, CA. To know Truly is to love her; she is young, strong, and fighting for her life every day.

A member of the class of 2025, a smart, kind, dedicated student-athlete, preparing for her Freshman season with Sacramento City College Women's Basketball, Truly suffered a traumatic brain injury from the hit-and-run accident. She has had a total of 8 procedures and surgeries, and multiple hospital transfers, and she will need long-term recovery care that is not covered under her current insurance coverage.

8/26: Procedure to place a G-Tube, for providing nutrition for Truly directly into her stomach through a tube.

9/2: Tracheostomy, a surgical procedure that creates an opening in the trachea (windpipe) to provide an airway, due to her prolonged need for breathing assistance from a ventilator. Transferred to Vibra Emergency and returned to Mercy San Juan ICU.

9/16: Hemicraniectomy, a surgical procedure that removes a portion of her skull to relieve pressure on the brain.

9/29: Truly experienced brain swelling, shifting her brain completely to the left side, an emergency External Ventricular Drain placement was performed, inserting a catheter through a hole in the skull into her brain to drain Cerebrospinal fluid, and monitor intracranial pressure.

10/7: Truly suffered a brain bleed, resulting in the right side of her skull being removed to find the bleed, and a right Burr hole Craniotomy, a surgical procedure drilling a small hole in the skull to provide access to the brain and relieve pressure from a buildup of blood and fluid.

10/9: Left Cranioplasty, a surgical procedure to replace the left side of Truly's Skull.

10/10: Brain shunt, a surgical procedure that implanted a tube into Truly's brain to drain excess fluid.

10/18: adjustment of shunt procedure.

My name is Coach Alisha Harris, I am one of Truly's former coaches, and a family friend. We have started this GoFundMe to help cover her rehabilitation costs. Truly's road to recovery from this tragic accident will be long, hard, and expensive. We are asking for prayers for her healing and donations to help cover the exorbitant costs of her hospital care and rehabilitation.
