For more than seven years, True Story Brewing Company has been more than just a brewery. It has been a home for musicians, artists, comedians, poets, authors, dancers, families, friends, first dates, weddings, baby showers, reunions, celebrations, and countless amazing conversations that could only happen in a shared space like True Story.
Asking for help does not come easy for us. Since day one, we’ve built True Story without outside investors or any financial backing. Every improvement we’ve made has come from our own hard work, long nights, and the belief that Birmingham deserves a place where everyone belongs. Today, we’re facing one of the hardest seasons we’ve ever experienced. Rising costs, medical bills, slower business, and financial obligations have put us in a position we never imagined we’d be in. We have always believed that if we worked hard enough, we’d figure it out ourselves. But sometimes even the strongest independent businesses need a little help from the community they’ve spent years supporting.
If True Story has ever been your neighborhood gathering place, the venue where you discovered your favorite local band, the stage where you performed for the first time, the place where you laughed until closing, celebrated a milestone, found new friends, or simply felt welcomed exactly as you are, we hope you’ll consider helping us continue this story. Your donation will help us stabilize our finances so we can keep our doors open and continue providing a home for live music, visual art, comedy, community events, and the people who make Birmingham such a vibrant and creative city.
If you’re not able to give, sharing this fundraiser means just as much. Every share helps us reach someone whose life has been touched by True Story. Thank you for believing in independent businesses, local artists, and community spaces. We still believe the best chapters of True Story are ahead of us, and with your help, we hope to keep writing them together.
