Sometimes the difference between being stuck and getting back on your feet is one working vehicle.

We are raising funds for a man in our community who is currently experiencing some very difficult times.

He doesn’t ask for much, and he certainly didn’t ask for this. We got involved in his life because of how relatable his story is. Our need for dignity and independence in the face of great adversity can speak to us all.

He receives a small pension from his job of 30 years and was forced into retirement prior to age 62 when the business closed it's doors. It is not near enough to cover all his needs. We are working with him to apply for DSS benefits, but unfortunately that is not always a quick process.

One great misfortune often leads to another and now he and his beloved dog are unhoused and in need of help.

His truck needs some major repairs in order to pass inspection. Without it, everything becomes harder: finding work, staying warm and dry, and holding onto hope. The cost to repair it is more than he could ever manage on his own, and one setback has turned into many.

In spite of all this, he remains positive and appreciative.

This fundraiser will help cover:

Essential truck repairs so he can safely drive again.

Basic necessities like food, hygiene items, and warm clothing.

Routine veterinary care for his small dog.

Small but critical expenses that help him move toward stability.

We're keeping his name private to protect his dignity, but we see his situation every day—and we know how much even a small act of kindness can change a life. With the right support, this is a moment where help can truly make a lasting difference.
