Help heal Troy’s heart. What started as a little shortness of breath and supposed bronchitis has now been confirmed to be acute heart failure and pulmonary edema, and symptoms progressed rapidly. He is only 44 and until this began was very healthy and exercised regularly. As he is self-employed, he did not previously have insurance and has already had two emergency room visits and a hospital stay. Additionally, some of the medications that can help reverse the effects are not available in generic and would cost thousands. Due to the physical demands of his job, he is also unable to work at this time. He has enrolled in an insurance program, but it does not begin until July 1st and the sooner we can begin these medications the better. And if the medications do not do enough, surgery could be next. Any amount you can spare would be greatly appreciated and help heal the man I love. We only found each other two years ago, and I need him around as long as possible.
