As many of you know, Troy Lewis suffered multiple heart attacks during the week of April 6, 2026. In true Troy fashion, he tried to push through the heart pain and worked for three days before finally calling out sick on Thursday, April 9th. By that evening, he was rushed to Kaiser's ER—the very hospital he helped build eleven years ago—where doctors confirmed he had been experiencing multiple heart attacks and was still in the middle of one.
The next day, Troy underwent a procedure to place stents in his heart. While the procedure was successful, he will be out of work for some time as he recovers.
Unfortunately, Troy’s situation comes with heavy financial stress. Once his available work hours are exhausted, he will no longer have medical insurance, and much of the funds in his health savings account were used for co-payments for the ER and overnight hospital stays. To make matters more difficult, he must keep his health insurance active so he can continue receiving the life‑saving medications he’ll need over the next year. As you may be aware, if Troy doesn't work, he doesn't get paid, and there are no sick days or vacation time to fall back on.
This GoFundMe has been created to help Troy cover essential expenses while he focuses on healing. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help relieve the burden and allow him to prioritize his health during this critical time.
Thank you for your support, kindness, and generosity.
