Hi everyone, Tonight our family experienced one of the scariest moments we’ve ever had with our dog Troy.
Out of nowhere, Troy started showing signs that something was very wrong.
We rushed him to the emergency vet where they diagnosed him with a life threatening condition called bloat (GDV), where the stomach twists and cuts off blood flow.
Without immediate surgery, dogs do not survive this condition. The veterinarians had to take Troy into emergency surgery right away to save his life.
Troy is not just a pet to us. He is part of our family. He is our loyal protector, our comfort on hard days.
Seeing him go through this has been heartbreaking, but we are so grateful that the vet team was able to act quickly.
Unfortunately, emergency surgery and hospitalization come with very high costs that we were not prepared for.
We are starting this GoFundMe to help cover Troy’s emergency surgery, medical care, and recovery expenses. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to our family and would help us focus on Troy’s recovery instead of the financial stress.
If you are unable to donate, sharing Troy’s story would also help us tremendously.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us give Troy the chance to recover and come back home where he belongs.
