Hi, my name is Lindsay and I’m going to be fundraising some money for my brother Troy Swisher and his family to help ease the burden. On Friday May 3 Troy was in a horrific accident in Homedale. He was ran over by a backhoe and crushed his left side.Troy was transported to Boise to the trauma ICU where he had to have a blood transfusion and get him stabilized. His injuries were a broken clavicle, shoulder, 8 ribs, pelvis front and back, ankle, foot and toes! Troy’s series of surgeries started yesterday by fixing his pelvis front and back the first for that area. He will be having surgery to plate his shoulder and clavicle tomorrow morning, followed by his foot, ankle and toes when he is able. Then another pelvic surgery in three months. We are so lucky to still have Troy alive!
The timing couldn’t have come at a worse time. Troy and his wife Jonnie had just bought a new property in the country and had gutted the house to make it their forever home for them and their two boys. They have been living in their camper on the property until they could get it done. Troy also just started his new state job only 8 days prior to the accident. His insurance had kicked in only two days before and he has no short term disability or pto built up. Troy has a long road ahead and I don’t want either of them to be stressed about the financial burden this is going to cause. I’ve had numerous text phone calls etc to see what they can do. I’m setting this up if you would like to help in this way. I also will be taking cash, checks, gift cards too if you want to avoid the fees on here for them.
I would also like to thank Troy’s friends in Homedale. Troy has a great friend group that have jumped in and started working on his house to get it livable for when he can come home.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! His favorite sister ♥️ Lindsay
