Support Troy Degrate's Memorial Expenses

Hello, my name is Shirley Stroupe. It’s with a heart heavy with grief that I am reaching out to our community for support. My beloved son, Troy Degrate, unexpectedly passed away on February 11, 2025. He was only 50 years old. He passed away from congestive heart failure. He had been suffering from this disease for about 7 years. This is the reason he was unable to get a life insurance policy. He survived three heart surgeries and a wound infection. He was a fighter and trusted in the Almighty God. His funeral arrangements are set for Friday, February 21st at 2 pm at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Words cannot express the pain and devastation our family is experiencing. Troy was a kind, loving, and one of the funniest people you’d ever meet. He was a cherished brother, the best mechanical technician, and a dedicated friend. Most of all, he was a faithful and loving servant of Jehovah. Everything that was extraordinary about him came from the love he had for his father, Jehovah God, and Jesus Christ. He is now left in Jehovah’s memory.

His absence leaves an immeasurable void in our lives. We are now faced with the unexpected burden of funeral expenses. We are raising $10,000 to cover the costs of funeral services, burial, and the cost to fly his young children from Minnesota to Texas to attend his memorial.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated and will help us give Troy the dignified farewell he deserves. Your generosity will ease the financial strain during this incredibly difficult time, allowing us to focus on grieving and remembering our beloved son.
