Troy Bayhi has always been a devoted son and loyal friend. We were in high school together, and over the years I’ve seen firsthand how much he cared for his mother. For the past several years, Troy dedicated himself to looking after her—driving her to doctor’s appointments, church, and anywhere she needed to go. He was her constant support, especially in her final days.

Last week, Troy’s world changed forever. His mother wasn’t feeling well, so he brought her to the ER. Sadly, she never made it out of the hospital. She passed away on Friday night, with Troy by her side. Now, Troy is facing not only the heartbreak of losing his mother, but also the challenge of rebuilding his life. He needs a reliable car to get to work, a job he desperately needs- help with funeral expenses, and support as he searches for a new place to live.
