In June, South Central Kansas was hit with a sudden and violent storms, bringing powerful winds and heavy rains. For Danny Warner, who is known to many as Troubles the Clown, and his sister Roberta (Bertie), the damage was devastating. A large tree crashed onto their attached garage, causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage to their modest Park City home.

While their homeowner’s insurance will thankfully cover most of the rebuilding costs, Danny and Bertie need help covering the $3,000 deductible.

If you know Danny and Bertie, you know they are the kind of people who show up for everyone—neighbors, friends, strangers, and anyone in need. Whether it’s cheering up a friend in the hospital with a flower shaped balloon, serving at Kechi United Methodist Church, or volunteering for community events, they are always there with a smile and a helping hand.

For over 38 years, Danny has performed as Troubles the Clown, bringing laughter and joy to children and adults across Sedgwick County. His volunteer work includes visits to patients for the American Cancer Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Hunter Health Clinic, and more. He’s been a joyful presence at countless local events, military family send-offs, library programs, and school supply drives.

Troubles is more than a clown, he's a local legend. He’s taught aspiring clowns at Wichita’s clown college, mentored volunteers, and even served as the Grand Marshal in Park City’s 4th of July parade. He was honored as Volunteer of the Year and recognized as a 2011 Health Care Hero for his tireless community service.

Bertie shares that same generous spirit. Together, they embody kindness, humility, and selflessness. Now, they need us.

Let’s come together to help Danny and Bertie cover the $3,000 deductible so they can rebuild and recover without the added financial stress. Any amount helps. Let’s remind them how much they’re loved and appreciated, and return just a little of the joy they’ve given us all.

Please donate if you can, and share this with others who know and love Troubles the Clown and his amazing sister Bertie.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Danny and Roberta (Bertie) Warner.
