Donation protected
Trooper Oscar Loya is a 29-year-old Trooper for the Texas Department of Public Safety. Oscar is stationed in Live Oak County, George West. Oscar was recently diagnosed with a type of germinoma brain cancer and is in the process of relocating closer to his family following initial treatment.
Oscar has been off duty since mid-June and is scheduled to start 6-8 weeks of daily radiation treatments at MD Anderson in Houston, TX. A former Marine Corps member, Oscar is a father to three beautiful children ages 8, 7, and
4. He will be away from his family while undergoing treatments at MD Anderson.
Please find it in your heart to help Oscar and his family during this difficult time. Because he has only recently begun serving the State of Texas as a Trooper, his sick leave will be depleted soon with numerous appointments & procedures remaining.
Let's help Oscar focus on his treatments and healing while easing the financial burden. And most importantly, we ask for prayers as his healing journey continues.
In support of this goal, Invictus Law Enforcement Jiu Jitsu Collective and Renzo Gracie Austin have partnered with Luke Griffith in hosting a FREE grappling seminar for all First Responders (Police Officers, Fire Fighters, and EMS) and current or former Military Veterans (must show proof of honorable service) on September 28th, 2024 from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM at the world-famous Renzo Gracie Austin Academy Located at 4631 Airport Blvd STE 114, Austin, TX 78751. Luke Griffith is a professional submission grappler with numerous gold medals and world titles to his name. As a student of legends like John Danaher, Gordan Ryan, and Garry Tonon, Luke Griffith is pleased to offer his expertise in support of Trooper Loya’s fight against brain cancer. Renzo Gracie Austin is offering a free training weekend at its academy for those who donate to the seminar. All proceeds will go to Trooper Loya.
