Hi, and thank you for taking a moment to read this.
On June 19th around noon, I had my first hip replacement surgery. It’s something I’ve needed for a long time, and while I’m hopeful it’s the start of real relief — I also won’t be able to work for a while.
I’ve been managing hip pain for years — pushing through it as a full-time server until the pain forced me to step back. Eventually, I turned to DoorDash to keep money coming in. I’ve made it work up until now, but recovery changes everything.
I don’t have PTO, short-term disability, or a financial safety net.
So I’m asking for help — to stay housed, fed, and focused on healing instead of falling behind.
