On 12/26, the world became a little darker as it lost one of its most amazing souls and brightest lights. If you ever met Triston Shumway, you were lucky to have known him. If you didn’t, you truly missed out on someone special. Triston loved hard—with all of his being. He would do anything for anyone. There was never a homeless person he passed without turning around to buy them food, and never a veteran he encountered without stopping to shake their hand and thank them for their service. Triston would walk through the grocery store passing out compliments to strangers, just to brighten their day and put a smile on their face. All he ever wanted to do was love and make people happy, and he succeeded. He was, and still is, the most loving, caring, honest, and genuine person I have ever come into contact with. Triston truly made his mark in this world, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Triston leaves behind a beautiful wife, loving mother, siblings, and many more friends and family. As they grieve this unimaginable loss, we are reaching out for help to cover the medical bills and funeral costs, and to ease the burden on his sweet wife and family.
