Support Tristian's Recovery Journey

Hello everyone, our names are Kimberly and Joe. We are hoping to get help for our current situation. Our 13-year-old son, Tristian, has been in the hospital now for a week due to having surgery. A couple of weeks ago, he was having stomach pains. We took him to the nearest emergency room. The ER doctor claimed it was a virus and sent him home. One week later, the vomiting got worse, and the pain had him curled up in a ball, so we took him back to the same ER and told the doctor he had gotten worse. The doctor tried again to say it'll pass, but we urged him to run tests. He ran x-rays and still wanted to send our son home in pain. We again insisted he run more tests. The test results from the CAT scan showed his appendix had ruptured in three pieces and had fluids, stomach acids, feces, and infection all throughout his stomach. He was sent to North Central Baptist Hospital here in San Antonio and had surgery. By then, the infection had spread and was affecting his bladder due to another abscess that was found. Doctors did their best to remove all contaminated fluid and infections but stated that it was one of the worst cases they had ever seen. Three incisions later, he was sent into the pediatric ICU for recovery. The last few days have been a roller coaster ride for him between the pain and discomfort, fever, and his bladder being obstructed. He is slowly getting better. So we thought! This morning, blood tests were run, and the verdict was he still had fluid and infection and has developed sepsis, so another surgery is needed. We have a long road ahead of us and will not leave this hospital till our son is 100%. We don't know for sure how long we will be here; the doctor did say three weeks to a month, maybe more. But we do know it is already causing a financial strain on us. We do have eight other children at home, and family is doing their best to help with that responsibility and alleviate most of the stress coming from all of this. We would love and dearly appreciate any help and donations from anybody who is willing to bless us. We pray our son heals and all this comes to an end in God's timing. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read our story. We hope you all have a wonderful day and please keep us in your prayers. Have a blessed day!
