On October 12, 2025, my nephew Tristan Graves (24) was seriously injured during a motocross practice session — doing what he loves most. While riding, his front wheel was clipped, sending him and his bike into a violent fall on his left side.

The impact caused a severe break and dislocation of his upper arm and shoulder, resulting in a broken humerus, a torn rotator cuff, a torn bicep tendon, and multiple ligament and muscle tears. Tristan was rushed into emergency surgery that night to rebuild and stabilize his arm and shoulder. After several difficult days, he was released home on October 14 to begin recovery.

Just days later, on October 18, Tristan was rushed back to the hospital after experiencing extreme, uncontrollable pain and shortness of breath. Doctors discovered a blood clot in each of his lungs — a life-threatening complication. He remained hospitalized until October 20 while receiving emergency treatment and care.

Tristan now faces a long and challenging road to recovery, including ongoing medical appointments, physical therapy, and time away from work. Although he has very limited insurance, it will only cover a small portion of his expenses. His hospital bills already exceed $200,000, not including the cost of rehabilitation, medications, and follow-up care.

The funds raised will go directly toward:

* Paying down Tristan’s medical bills

* Covering essential living expenses (rent, car insurance, and basic needs) while he’s unable to work

* Supporting his ongoing recovery and rehabilitation

Tristan is a passionate motocross rider with a huge heart and an unstoppable spirit. He’s always been the kind of person who helps others and brings energy to everything he does — now it’s our turn to help him get back on his feet.
