Support Tristan's Journey to Heal

Donation protected
On April 20th at 3:50 AM Tristan left home on his motorcycle going to work and at 3:55 AM he was hit by another driver a mile from home. The other driver made a left hand turn into the EXIT driveway of the condo complex turning straight into Tristans left side. Immediately on impact his motorcycle engulfed into flames. He was thrown from the bike and pinned in between the motorcycle and truck. The car that was behind Tristan slammed on her brakes, jumped out and rushed to the scene, she immediately ran to Tristan and pulled him from under the burning vehicles. Tristan was unconscious and on fire from his waist down and this angel was able to get the fire out with the help of two others who live close by and rushed to the scene when they heard the accident. The police arrived 30 seconds after the first 911 call was made and we cannot thank the witnesses, police and first responders enough for getting to him and acting so quickly to save his life.

He sustained very serious injuries:
- Brain bleed
- Two broken vertebrae in his neck
- Broken pelvis
- Broken femur in his right leg
- Severe broken femur in his left leg
- Third degree burns to 15% of his body

He was transferred to another facility’s trauma ICU Monday which has been amazing, we could not ask for a better medical team to care for him during this time! And he was moved from trauma ICU to the Burn unit ICU today.

Where we are currently at:
- He is breathing on his own the vent is still there as back up if needed but he has not needed it
- He still has not woken up yet but he does respond to commands of squeezing your hand and giving a thumbs up
- He responds to painful stimuli
- Left leg had to be amputated above the knee due to the severity of the femur break and burns on this leg (this is the leg that was pinned between the vehicles)
- He was cleared today by Neuro and is scheduled for surgery on the right femur tomorrow where the burn team will work side by side with to start taking care of the burns, we do not want infection to set in
- The pressure on his brain was being monitored and the levels were great so they removed the probe from his head this morning
- Neck surgery will be scheduled possibly next week

We still have a very long road of recovery and he remains in critical condition but he is improving so good we couldn’t be more proud of the fighter he is. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we navigate through this journey ❤️
