As many of you know, almost two years ago, my family met and adopted Tristan Vargas as one of our own by a purely chance meeting at Perris Speedway. Tristan's hard work ethic and outgoing personality fit right in with us and nearly anyone he meets. He's just become a journeyman crane rigger with NASSCO shipyard.
Friday, October 31, Tristan was riding to see his family in Las Vegas for the weekend. Going through Ontario, he was hit by a car, resulting in life-changing injuries and a long road to recovery and coping. He has already had two surgeries and is projected to have at least one more.
Today he was told his hospital stay will most likely be lengthy, even outside of ICU.
I am creating this to hopefully help ease the financial burden on his parents. With Tristan's stay being projected at 6 weeks, and many physical therapy sessions, along with skin grafts, there will be many visits. Being from Las Vegas, and the caring parents they are, they will be by his side as much as time and money permit. The money you donate will help cover costs that include time from work, hotel stays, fuel, food, etc.
Please help this extremely kind and caring family continue to comfortably see their son, Tristan.
