Hi! We are Tristan & Shin. If you're seeing this, you probably know one or both of us, or know one of our gracious friends who is helping to share this. (And thank you so much if you are sharing this!)

We have been putting off starting a fundraiser like this for a few reasons, but we are at the point where we feel this is our only option.

While always a bit of a problem for him, starting in early 2023, Shin began getting more frequent and intense migraines which since then, have forced him to call out more days than not. While he has FMLA to protect his job, unfortunately, nearly all of those days off have been unpaid. Unpaid time off means debt accruing in order to pay the bills.

Additionally, in October 2023, Tristan had top surgery and after a 14-week recovery, needed to go to some very expensive PT during the spring of 2024 in order to gain some range of motion back.

Since then, we've both had various other medical and life issues, including Tristan losing their job in January 2025 and needing to have an unexpected minor surgery in March, both creating even more debt.

And while insurance has covered some of the medical costs, it has not covered all of them, and here is where this fundraiser comes in.

We both know things are hard right now and not everyone is able to contribute financially, but if you are able, even just a few dollars, we would greatly appreciate it and we would give you our eternal gratitude. If you are not able to contribute financially, but are willing to share this fundraiser on your socials, again, we will give you much gratitude. And if you can do neither, that's okay too -- we really do love you all and thank you for being our friends!
