Hello! For those that don't know, Trish recently suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm that has landed her in the Neuro-Trauma ICU at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Since arriving at the hospital via ambulance on February 14, 2026, she has undergone 2 surgeries. The first surgery was performed within a few hours of her arrival to place a stent in her brain, and the second surgery was for surgeons to go in and fix the ruptured aneurysm. So far, Trish has been at the hospital for 8 days and is still currently on a ventilator. With the future unknown and medical bills as well as bills back home already piling up due to being out of work, we are reaching out to the community for help.

To know Trish is to love her. In the last several years, our family has suffered one blow after another. Most recently, back on January 14th, we lost my sister-in-law, Tiffany, to multiple strokes, with the last one being the most severe and ultimately being the one that took her life. Tiffany and Trish were the best of friends, 2 peas in a pod, living next door to each other and always making sure those that they loved were taken care of. For the 3+ weeks that Tiffany was in the hospital, Trish, without even being asked, stepped up to raise Tiffany's 3-year-old nephew, whom she had custody of. She started staying at Tiffany's house in order for Kaiden to have as much normalcy as possible, as we all knew that his world was about to be flipped upside down because Tiffany was all he knew as a mother, and being 3, he didn't understand why his Aunt TT wasn't coming back home to him. Nobody asked Trish to do this; she had her own life, her only child Brianna was grown, but Trish, with her huge heart and always wanting to help everyone she loved, knew that at the time, this was what was best for Kaiden, so she did what needed to be done. Even after Tiffany's passing, she didn't skip a beat; she continued raising Kaiden, keeping him on his normal schedule, getting him to and from daycare, buying groceries for the home, feeding him, bathing him, taking him to and from daycare, even getting him potty trained. She did all that without asking for help and with zero complaint. She continued to stay and care for Kaiden until the family decided who was going to raise him now that his Aunt TT was no longer with us.

We are forever grateful that at the time of her medical emergency, she was staying the night at Nancy's (Kaiden's granny) house to help her with Kaiden, because we all know that if she had been at her home, she would have been alone, and instead of all of us planning visitation times so she isn't alone at the hospital and helping her daughter with everything back home, we would all be helping to plan yet another funeral.

As of right now, we aren't sure what her future looks like. She is still currently on a ventilator and has a very long, extremely difficult road ahead of her. Being the strong, determined, and feisty soul that she is, we have no doubt that she will recover and come back home to everyone that loves her. We are reaching out in hopes of raising funds that will go directly to her medical care/bills so she and her daughter can focus solely on her recovery.

I cannot put it into words what Trish means to not only me but to everyone around her. She is probably one of the most selfless people I know. She is the type of person that if you call her at 2 am, regardless of what it's for, she will be there. In the darkest moments, family, friends, and community are what carry us through. We are asking for your love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. We understand that times are tough for so many of us, so even if you can't donate, your prayers are equally as important. I will continue to update everyone on her progress, and again, we want to thank everyone for your generosity and compassion.
