Support Trish's Journey to Recovery and Hope

Hi there everyone! I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my mother-in-law, Trish Robinson, and her family.

Trish Robinson is a 45-year-old mother of former Pirate FB player and class of 2020 SYHS graduate, Cayden Robinson, and current Senior Varsity Cheerleader, Cassidy Robinson. She suddenly became seriously ill with multifocal pneumonia in mid-July of 2024 and after quickly deteriorating, was hospitalized on 8/10, where she has been bedridden and must be on oxygen 24/7. After several procedures, including an open lung biopsy and hundreds of tests, it was determined after 4 weeks that she has interstitial lung disease caused by an extremely rare autoimmune connective tissue disease that is attacking her lungs, Anti-Synthetase Syndrome with overlapping inflammatory Myositis.

Unfortunately, there are less than 3500 people in the US with this disease and even fewer presenting with the same complications as hers.

There is no cure, but with proper care & treatment, it can go into remission. It might take up to a year this first time & she could always relapse, so she will forever need to take caution.

Worst case, if her lungs do not respond to the medications or she starts to get worse, they will start making plans to transfer her down to Cedar's to go on the lung transplant list.

It's going to take time and LOTS of patience and prayer, but hopefully, she'll start to see improvement soon and be able to come home.

Her husband, Jared Robinson, has been off work since the beginning so he could be with her every day and these funds will be used to cover things like gas/meals for Jared & Cass to/from the hospital in SB, medical bills, medical supplies that Trish will need once home, medicines, oxygen tank deliveries, physical therapy visits, loss of income for both Trish & Jared while he is home caring for her, etc.
