Support Trisha's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
Dear family and friends,

Trisha is loved by all who know her. She is the first person to jump in when anyone is in need. Hers is the steady shoulder we lean on, she is the person to lift us when we fall.

Trisha has always been very active. She works hard both professionally and in her athletic achievement’s. She is a familiar face in the Fleet Feet programs both as a participant and for many years volunteering as a triathlon (tri) coach.

In the fall of 2023 Trisha was diagnosed with stage four non small cell lung cancer. She began an intensive treatment regimen in December, her first series consisted of two chemotherapies and an immunotherapy.

Over the summer of 2024 she did 30 days of radiation along with a low dose of chemo. Upon completion of this series she resumed immunotherapy infusions.

She has been experiencing severe pain in her back for several months. She went to the emergency room in mid November and an MRI showed a new tumor on the spine which caused it to fracture. She underwent surgery three days later to debulk the tumor and repair the vertebrae. Trisha was hospitalized for nearly a month with the exception of a two day trip home with her mother and sister. She had spiked a fever, sending her by ambulance back to the ER. Further testing showed her hip is fractured due to a new lesion. She also has two nodes in the left lung which have begun to grow. She received five consecutive days of radiation on her hip, thankfully providing relief so she could sit up and walk short distances. As if cancer isn’t challenging enough she goes into a fib (atrial fibrillation) on an almost daily basis.

The next step is to begin new radiation treatments on her back. We are working diligently to ensure Trisha has access to the best possible care and alternative treatments through Memorial Sloan Kettering as well as genetic testing in Greece. Sadly she isn’t required to go abroad but she will need medical transport to New York City due to her fractured hip.

Initially Trisha was able to work and tri coach with minimal absence during her first two series of treatments. The new tumors, and the havoc they wreak, are preventing her from working at the present time.

We’ve created this Go Fund Me to help ease the financial burden caused by her compiling medical bills. Every donation will make a positive impact. We humbly ask that you also share this campaign with your network.

Your support, whether financial or spiritual, is greatly appreciated. Together we will make a difference for Trisha just as she has always done for others.

Thank you for taking the time to read her story and any level of support you can provide to our beloved Trisha.
