My name is Trisha Ramirez and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments of my life. I was recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer, and my treatment plan requires me to be out of work for the next 2–3 months. As someone who has always tried to handle everything on my own, asking for help is incredibly difficult—but right now, it’s necessary.

I am the sole provider for our family. My husband is disabled and still fighting for disability approval, so my income is what keeps our household going. We have two wonderful children, and with Christmas around the corner, the timing could not be more overwhelming.
