Hello

This is Trisha Maestas. She has fallen on some hard times after struggling with her mental health.

She lost her medical insurance in June during a medication change. Subsequently, she was unable to continue her antidepressants causing her to experience a dramatic decline in her mental health. She has currently taken some time off of work and entered a 3 week program to help provide the help she desperately needs. After applying for and being denied short term disability (due to mental health being a pre-existing condition), she is left with no other options.

As a recovery specialist at a residential treatment facility she works to help people with their fight against their addictions. In order to continue helping others, she has needed to take time off to get the help she needs.

The goal of this gofundme is to help alleviate the bills while she works desperately to get back on her feet.

She has graduated the first phase of treatment (a Partial Hospitalization Program) and will now be doing the step down from that (a Day Treatment Program) which is a 3 month program as she slowly works with re-introducing work into her life at the same time. Thank you for your consideration.
