This GoFundMe is for a friend who tragically lost her five dogs (Bayou, Birch, Willow, Barkley, Spot) a week and a half ago. Her family is devastated over the loss of their beautiful fur babies.
Trina’s dogs have never gotten out of the fencing and unfortunately did on Friday, the 19th of September, while she was at work.
A horrible human had illegally put bait out on the state land that their property adjoins to, most likely to kill coyotes and other predators.
Sadly, when her dogs got out of the fencing, they found and ate some of the bait that was set out. The wardens found close to 100 pounds of poisoned meat! A report has been filed; however, it will most likely be impossible to find the despicable human responsible for this. If found, they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
All five dogs died a torturous death and they had to be humanely euthanized by a vet Sunday morning, as there wasn’t anything that could be done to save them.
Not only is it an unimaginable loss, they also have a huge financial loss. They have veterinarian bills as well as the cremation bill. In addition, they have the cost of the urns and the cost of decontaminating their property.
These were not just dogs to them; they were part of their family.
Trina has two special-needs kids that are seven and ten years old. The kids are having a very difficult time comprehending the loss, especially so much loss at once.
Another associated cost is therapy that her two children will be starting this week to help them process and function after this tragedy.
Her teenage stepchildren are also devastated over the loss.
This GoFundMe will go directly to Trina and her family. If you can donate, that would be wonderful. If not, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Also, pray for a miracle that they can catch the person that did this because they should be held accountable for what they’ve done! It’s beyond cruel to do this to any animal, including the wildlife.
Thank you in advance for any help. Nothing will replace them, but it would be nice to help lift some of the financial burden that they were left with.
