Support Trina's Battle Against Cancer
Donation protected
update 4/29/25:
Trina put up a hard fight. She made these last several years of fighting cancer look easy. Yesterday evening her battle ended and she entered the gates of heaven fully restored in health. Our hearts are broken for the loss of Trina here on earth and our lives won’t ever be the same; but we rest in knowing through Christ our savior we will be reunited one sweet day. I’m keeping this gofundme open for anyone who feels led to contribute to Cliff, Jaxxon, & Charleigh. Thanks to everyone who donated, prayed, and loved Trina. She was overwhelmed by all the love shown to her and her family, but we all know she was more than deserving of it all.
Update 4/23/25: Last week Shelby Atrium decided that based on Trina’s hemoglobin her internal bleeding had subsided. They discharged her but within 24 hours she was back at the hospital. After running more tests they determined she has some fluid around her heart. Several days have passed and they have only been managing her pain. She is currently in the ICU waiting to be transferred to Charlotte where her doctors there plan to get her started on chemo early next week. This gofundme was originally started to help Trina purchase items that will help her, and that is still our hope..however, Cliff, the only one able to work, has been where he needed to be, with Trina at the hospital this whole time and therefore has not been able to generate income for his family these last couple of weeks. Cliff and Trina are incredibly grateful for all of the support they have been shown. But her family and friends would love for the gofundme to continue to grow so that Cliff can continue to be with Trina as long as she is in the hospital, without the stress that comes from being out of work. No donation is too small and we all covet your prayers for Trina’s healing. She is a fighter and although she has been facing many setbacks recently, we believe her trials are going to become her testimony of what our mighty God is capable of. Thank you all for your continued support.
Update 4/15/25:
Trina has had some complications from her recent liver biopsies and is currently at the hospital in Shelby. They discovered some internal bleeding and were planning to transfer her to Charlotte but that transfer has still not happened. Fortunately, the doctors told her today that her blood count numbers have stabilized and they feel that she is no longer actively bleeding. They want to continue monitoring her and if her numbers continue to be stable then she may be able to avoid the transfer to Charlotte. Trina would like to thank everyone for the support and asks that you continue to keep her in your prayers. We are unsure what this means for her scheduled chemo next week but will try to keep everyone updated as we have new information. Your prayers and love lift Trina up more than you know.
It’s been a while since there was an update and a lot has changed, so we felt it was time for one.
Last summer, Trina went through chemotherapy and essentially lost that summer due to the terrible side effects of the chemo. There were far more hard days than good, but you would only know that by missing Trina’s calls, texts, and visits. Her tenacity, positivity, and faith have been put to the test, and lately, each day she seems to wake up to a new challenge. Yet she always finds a way to pour into someone else.
Trina’s most recent challenge comes after being kicked off of a clinical trial she had been on merely weeks after her scans showed she was 31% nonreactive to the medication. Those scans also showed that the spot on her liver is in need of a biopsy (scheduled for 4/10/25) and chemo prior to receiving the results of the biopsy (which can take up to 3 weeks to receive). Unlike the chemo she received last summer, this chemo will make her lose her hair. She is currently working on verifying insurance for cold capping and plans to receive this round of chemo in Charlotte, rather than locally. As a female, mother, human - keeping your hair during an already incredibly challenging time would be such a blessing, and we are praying that her insurance will cover this.
Trina is looking at all options for increasing her chances of beating this terrible disease and has found that others with stage 4 cancers are doing well by using the Kangen Water machine, but found that the cost runs around $5,000. And there is a Bemer therapy mat that she can lay on that also has shown results, but it costs around $1,500.
First and foremost, Trina, her family, and friends all covet the prayers of the prayer warriors out there. We believe in the mighty power of our God and Jesus Christ and that He is still a miracle worker.
We also wanted to bring the GoFundMe back to request that anyone who feels compelled to help either again, or for the first time, that Trina and her family could really use some blessings right about now and we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of her community rallying behind her to help her in this fight.
