Support Trina and Charlie Through his Recovery

For those of you who know our story, you know what a long road it has been. For those of you who don’t, let me share a little of my dad, Charlie's, journey. In 2021, my dad underwent surgery and suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed for over half a year. During that time, he not only suffered with debilitating pain but also lost his job during the process.

This year has brought even more challenges. He has undergone three additional surgeries, the most recent being a major lower back surgery on 11/20/2024. During the procedure, doctors inserted six screws in his back, four screws in the front, two plates, removed a cyst on his spine, and placed the largest cage available. While we’re hopeful this surgery will improve his quality of life, his recovery is expected to take at least a year.

Unfortunately, his long-term disability will only cover 40% of his income, and it isn’t expected to begin until January. We don’t know when he’ll be able to work again, leaving my parents in a difficult financial situation.

I am starting this GoFundMe for those who feel led to support my parents, Trina and Charlie, during this challenging time. Please know there is absolutely no obligation to give—this is only for those who wish to help ease the financial burden.

All donations will go directly toward:

- Food and gas for hospital stays and follow-up appointments

- Medical bills and related expenses

- Monthly household bills
