Support Trieu Nguyen's Stroke Recovery

Hi, my name is Nicole Harris and I am fundraising for my best friend, Trieu Nguyen. Trieu is 24 years old and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Missouri State University-Springfield in Spring 2022. Trieu is a Graduate Assistant for the Missouri State University-Springfield chemistry department and planned to finish his research Fall 2024 semester. Unfortunately, on August 9th, 2024, Trieu suffered from a stroke. Trieu was brought to Cox South Emergency Department late that night where they discovered he had a stroke. He had emergency surgery that same night. He spent 15 days at Cox South Hospital and was discharged August 23, 2024. The stroke has affected Trieu’s speech and caused paralysis on the right side of his body. Trieu will be going back to Kansas City, MO with his parents where he will recover. He will require rehabilitation, therapy, and treatment these upcoming months.
