Support Tri-City Band Corps: Replace Stolen Gear
Donation protected
Earlier this year we discovered our storage units at MSJ were broken into on a Friday afternoon. Locks to all of our storage units were cut and the units were thoroughly tossed and ransacked. We immediately placed new locks on the units and planned to come back Saturday morning to complete a detailed inventory of what was missing. Initial review of lost items included a speaker system ($3500), folding tables, chairs, a folding wagon, and generator ($1000).
Upon our return on Saturday, we discovered that the units were broken into a second time, 2 days in a row. This time they stole a brand new canopy tent with TBC's logo on it (So if you see this somewhere, please let us know... it's quite obvious), a propane grill, all of our uniform accessories ($4500), and several large plastic bins (fortunately, they had the courtesy to dump all of our sweatshirts and t-shirts that were in the boxes on the floor before only taking the boxes...)
In total we estimate that roughly $10,000 worth of equipment was stolen, with the larger items listed above.
We've since filed a police report and replaced the locks with new welded locks that they won't be able to break through. Unfortunately, school policy forbids us from adding cameras, but we do believe the items to be secure now. The police have had no leads, so we do not expect to be able to recover any items.
Your donation today will help replace stolen items to get us back up and running. Donating will make a difference as we recover from this and continue to provide a supportive environment for our musicians. We would be grateful for any support that you could provide, by sharing our story, giving a donation, or just spreading the word. Together, we can overcome this challenge and continue to support music for all students in our community.
