My name is Erin and I am starting this GoFundMe for my sister Tricia.

In August 2024, Tricia was diagnosed with a highly aggressive form of stomach cancer known as signet ring cell carcinoma. At 25 years of age, Tricia was just beginning her career as a nurse. We remain grateful every day that it was found early and at stage 1. However, removing the cancer meant a major surgery removing her entire stomach. In October, she underwent a complete gastrectomy. Since the surgery, Tricia has faced many complications, including a second surgery in January.

The physical toll on Tricia’s body has been immense - she has endured significant weight loss of 40 pounds and continues to battle dehydration, dizziness, exhaustion, and malabsorption issues. While we are grateful that the surgeries were a success, her road to recovery is long.

Tricia has been unable to work since her diagnosis, and my mother has also been out of work to care for my sister during this time. Please consider donating to this fund to support Tricia in her recovery journey.
