Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
On December 19, 2024, my lifelong best friend, Tricia Strong was stopped at a red light with her nine-year-old daughter, Adeline, when another vehicle rear- ended them at a high speed of 50 mph.
Approximately five days after the incident, Tricia began to notice troubling symptoms, including numbness in her arms and hands, along with intense headaches and neck discomfort.
On December 27, 2024, she underwent multiple MRIs that uncovered injuries from the accident that were more severe than she had anticipated. The results showed that she had two torn rotator cuffs in her shoulders, a traumatic head injury, and two herniated discs in her neck, which are causing nerve damage that extends down her arms. As a result, she will require surgery on her neck, and following physical therapy, it will be assessed whether she will also need surgery on her shoulders.
This news hit Tricia hard; we all understand how passionate she is about photography, and the idea of potentially having to give up her career, even temporarily, is truly heartbreaking for her.
There was another surprising discovery. Her neck MRI indicated the presence of thyroid cancer, which has been confirmed as T2 thyroid cancer. She will be pursuing treatment right away at the Clayman Thyroid Surgery Center to explore her options for further care.
The emotional and physical toll of these challenges has been overwhelming, yet she continues to face them with positivity, courage and determination.
The path that lies ahead is going to be challenging and demanding. She will need surgery to address her neck injury, along with continuous treatments and therapy for her neck, back, and shoulder injuries, as well as specialized care for her thyroid cancer. The mounting medical expenses, combined with the loss of income during her recovery and the costs of everyday essentials, have created a financial strain that feels overwhelming.
We are asking for your help to ease this burden and give Trish the chance to focus fully on her recovery and healing. Your generous donations will go toward:
• Medical bills and surgeries
• Cancer treatments and medications
• Physical therapy for her injuries
• Basic living expenses during her recovery
Every dollar, share, and kind word counts. Tricia is such a selfless person and would do anything for anyone. Your support means the world to her and her family during this incredibly challenging time. Together, we can help her rebuild her life and move forward with hope and strength.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and compassion.
With love and gratitude,
Renee Delango
