Life has always been about family for Tricia and Bob Orr. Originally from Bowie, Maryland, they built a beautiful life together, raising six incredible children. In 2013, they moved to Florida, embracing a new chapter with the same love and resilience that carried them through every challenge.

But now, they are facing their toughest battle yet.

After years of excruciating pain and illness, Tricia underwent emergency surgery on November 18, 2024, to remove 12 inches of her colon. Though she is finally on the path to healing, the hospital bills that followed have been overwhelming.

Then, just as they began to catch their breath, their world was shaken again.

On February 21, 2025, Bob went in for a routine colonoscopy—only to receive the devastating diagnosis of colorectal cancer. A PET scan on March 11 confirmed the worst, and on March 17, a surgeon identified it as invasive colon adenocarcinoma. Now, they are waiting on an MRI and a team of doctors to determine the stage of his cancer and the best course of treatment.

Bob is too sick to work, and though he has insurance, the co-pays alone are crushing. Tricia, who has always been the backbone of their family, is doing everything she can—working when possible, driving Bob to his appointments, advocating for his care, and being his rock through this terrifying time. But with no sick leave and fewer hours at work, their financial situation is becoming dire.

This isn’t just about medical bills. This is about helping a devoted wife care for the love of her life. It’s about giving a father and grandfather the chance to fight this cancer without the crushing weight of financial stress. It’s about lifting up a family that has always been there for others, but now needs us to be there for them.
