Support Trey Holt's Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Today, the Holt family is asking for your help. Trey Holt, loving father and husband, has been involved in a horrific accident. On September 27th, he was crushed by a falling tree, leaving him with numerous life-threatening injuries and has confined him to an extended stay in the I.C.U. trauma center at U.V.A.
Some of his injuries include his right femur, which was shattered by the impact; twelve broken ribs; massive head trauma; a broken clavicle; internal bleeding; and multiple other injuries throughout. His long road to recovery starts here with your help.
His journey will not be easy. Exorbitant medical bills, months of physical therapy and an uncertain future lie ahead of him, not to mention his responsibilities at home, as he forges a new path, pushing through all obstacles ahead of him. Which is why the purpose of this fundraiser is to let him know that he is not alone during these dark times and that there are those who truly care about the wonderful and kind man I have been blessed to call my father.
As some of you may know, Trey is an avid biker and outdoorsman. One of his many dreams is to bike from Canada to Mexico on the Great Divide Mountain Biking Trail. We hope that despite the long road ahead of us, he may yet be able to achieve that dream with physical therapy and support from those around him. Thank you for taking the time to care about a truly incredible human being.
Trey Holts current status:
Yesterday’s Thoracic surgery to protect his internal organs from his ribs went as planned. Throughout the night after the surgery there were some complications. He is still staying in the ICU unit at UVA. They are keeping his intubation tubes in for the time being as we continue to monitor his situation.
