Hello friends, family, and colleagues of Trey Edwards.

As you may know, my ex-husband, friend, and father to two fabulous children, Trey, was in a motorcycle accident recently. During the CT scan at the hospital, the doctors found two significant life-threatening conditions with his heart. He has a congenital insufficiency of his aortic valve and a significant 5.3cm aortic aneurysm which will require open-heart surgery ASAP. He will be down and unable to work for 3-4 months.

Trey is in sales, and the majority of his income is commission-based, which means his income will be cut drastically (about 75%) while he is recovering from this major surgery. Temporary disability insurance will not even begin to cover his core monthly expenses, much less all of the other expenses he pays to support his family.

Trey works tirelessly to provide for all of his people, including our daughter, Remi, who is a Pi Phi in her first year of Pre-Nursing at Texas Tech, and our son, Cat, who is a freshman at Cedar Park High School. He is reluctant to get the mandatory procedure he needs due to the financial collapse it will cause. If he doesn't receive a new aortic valve and have the aneurysm repaired sooner than later, his heart is a ticking time bomb. If the aneurysm gets any larger and bursts, it will be fatal.

Trey won't ask for help, so I am going to ask for him.

Please help me raise the money needed to cover Trey's health insurance deductible and living expenses during recovery. At this time, he will not schedule the surgery due to financial stress and worry about how he will provide for his family as he will not be able to work.
