Thank you. We are incredibly grateful for the almost $5,000 raised in the first GoFundMe, which helped Trevor pay for three months of rent while he focused on recovering. The kindness and generosity shown by family, friends, coworkers, and even people Trevor has never met has meant more than words can express.
Trevor’s birthday was last Monday , and while this year looks very different than expected, he is incredibly grateful for the support and encouragement he has received during this difficult time.
The first GoFundMe campaign was created and managed by a friend who stepped in quickly to help during the early days after Trevor’s accident. We are incredibly grateful for that kindness because neither Trevor nor I would have asked for help ourselves, and honestly we don’t know where we would be right now without that support. Because it can be difficult to manage and provide updates through someone else’s account, this page was created so Trevor’s recovery updates can be shared more easily.
Trevor has always been independent and doesn’t like asking for help, so the kindness and support people have shown him during this recovery has meant more than he can express.
Trevor suffered serious injuries to both femurs in an accident that happened just 18 days before the end of 2025, turning what should have been a normal holiday season into emergency medical care and the beginning of a long recovery.
The femur is the largest and strongest bone in the human body, and fractures like these often require a long and painful recovery.
Trevor is still experiencing significant pain because there are bone fragments that have not yet fused back to the main femur. These fragments are sometimes described as “floating” until the bone fully heals, which can make normal movement difficult and unpredictable during recovery.
Trevor has always worked hard and taken pride in supporting himself. Asking for help is not something that comes easily to him, but this recovery has been more difficult and unpredictable than anyone expected.
Trevor will soon need to return to work even though his recovery is still ongoing. He has been approved for light duty, but it is still uncertain what his body will be able to tolerate at this stage of healing. Like many people recovering from serious injuries, he also does not want to risk losing his job while continuing to recover.
Trevor truly wants to get back to work and be able to support himself again. He also genuinely misses the people he works with at Sam's Club, and he will be returning to work in just a few days even though his recovery is still ongoing.
Trevor is determined to keep moving forward with his recovery and return to normal life as much as possible.
Returning to work so soon after injuries like this can be extremely challenging because the femur carries much of the body’s weight when standing and walking.
Trevor works at Sam's Club, and he is grateful for the encouragement and support he has received from family, friends, and coworkers there during this difficult time.
One of the biggest challenges has been the timing of the accident. Because it happened only 18 days before the end of 2025, many of Trevor’s medical costs fall into two separate insurance years.
Trevor still needs to pay $2,000 toward his 2025 maximum out-of-pocket medical costs. For 2026, his current out-of-pocket expenses have already reached $2,100.
At the end of March, the insurance he currently has through family coverage will end. If Trevor continues working at Sam's Club and transitions to his own insurance coverage, his new maximum out-of-pocket cost could be as high as $6,750.
Unfortunately, the driver who caused the accident had no bodily injury insurance coverage and only up to $10,000 in property damage coverage. The driver was operating a borrowed vehicle, and the vehicle owner carried only Florida’s minimum required insurance, which provides very limited protection in situations like this.
Because of these limitations, there are very few financial resources available to help cover the costs associated with Trevor’s injuries and recovery.
Any support will help Trevor focus on healing instead of worrying about how to keep up with medical expenses. If you are unable to donate, sharing Trevor’s story can still make a meaningful difference.
Even one share could help Trevor’s story reach someone who can make a difference.
Thank you all for your kindness and support ❤️
