Hi, all. This is Rachel! On Monday, August 25, 2025, my step-father, Trevor Crowell, wasn't feeling well at work and went to the walk-in clinic in Great Bend to be seen. He was then taken to Great Bend hospital, transported quickly to Hays Medical Center via ambulance, where he was told he was in heart failure. Early the next morning, Trevor had a stroke. It was then discovered Trevor had a large blood clot in his heart which was the result of an asymptomatic heart attack, and the clot was breaking off in pieces, which caused the stroke, as well as kidney failure and liver failure. He was then flown to KU Medical Center due to clots in his brain, heart, kidney, liver, and legs. Trevor spent the last week in KU Med and was able to go home yesterday (Sept 2nd). However, Trevor will need continued care for the stroke, clots, and heart conditions. He will eventually need heart surgery as well. Trevor did not have medical insurance at the time of these events, and will not be able to work for an unknown amount of time. I'm reaching out on the behalf of Trevor and my mom, Judy, to please consider donating to his medical bills.
