Hello everyone!

This is Melanie Buck. My home country of Jamaica was recently hit by the category 5 Hurricane, Melissa. This caused much destruction to many areas all over the island. We are looking for donations to help people in the Treasure Beach area rebuild their homes and provide basic necessities to meet their needs.

Every dollar helps.

For folks wondering how I plan to distribute the funds…. 

My sister, Monique lives in Jamaica - we are blessed that where she lives was able to weather hurricane Melissa with minimal damage. 

This donation effort will be given to friends that live in Treasure Beach who did not have the same luck and had major destruction and damage to their livelihoods and homes. Individuals living in Treasure Beach rely wholly on tourism - these funds will help them rebuild and sustain their families while the area rebuilds itself again (last year was Hurricane Beryl) in preparation for tourists to return.  Treasure Beach will rebuild itself again! And will reopen for tourists, at which point my friends will be ready to get back to their loved work of helping tourists enjoy their beautiful Treasure Beach.
