Support Travis's Road to Recovery

On May 24th, Travis lost the ability to stand/walk. He was transported by ambulance to Grandview where he was admitted after a few hours in the emergency department. 3 long days later, the neurosurgeon had him transferred to the Kettering main campus for surgery.

Travis is having a microdisectomy of his L2/L3 and L4/L5. We are confident that the right decision was made by his care team. Recovery will be a minimum of 4 weeks but likely more since he works in the laborious field of manufacturing. The surgeon said it may be up to 12 weeks. We believe his service in the United States Army played a part in his degenerative disc disease which led to the herniations of his spine.

Without insurance or short-term disability, this is going to be a rough road. We are working with a social worker to help get the medical costs reduced. The more daunting situation is losing his income for up to 3 months. We all know how hard it is out here with all of the corporate greed and wage theft. Please consider donating to help us offset this huge hurdle while Travis recovers.
