Hello, my name is Michelle, and I am reaching out to ask for help with my brother-in-law, Travis.

On April 14th, our world was turned upside down when Travis was admitted to the Emergency Room. One week later, after numerous tests, he underwent an operation for heart valve replacement and to repair an arterial aneurysm. It was also discovered that he had a severe case of sepsis that made this operation and recovery much more complicated. The infection spread to all of his organs, each of which are being treated individually. He has also developed ventilator associated pneumonia, and as a result, both of his lungs collapsed. All of this has made his recovery very slow and extremely difficult.

As a devoted husband and father, Travis has always believed that smiles, laughter, and kindness are of utmost importance. He has always been there for others and now it's our turn to be there for him. With an extended hospital stay and no timeline for when he will be able to return to work, the financial burden on his family is growing every day.
