Support Travis Rudd's Road to Recovery

Hello everyone. My name is Travis Barrett Rudd. I am 33 year old surfer musician and motorcycle rider from Flagler Beach Florida. On April 25th 2024 I was involved in a life changing accident while riding motorcycles in Tiger Bay State Forest with friends on forest roads. It was an extremely dusty day and due to lack of visibility I unfortunately hit a massive ditch in the middle of the road unexpectedly at a high speed. Due to the extremely hard impact my left leg/knee was severely broken resulting in a 17 night stay at the Halifax Hospital Trauma center in Daytona Beach where I underwent 4 expensive and painful surgeries. My exact injury was a completely shattered tiabial plateau with compartment syndrome. The doctors were able to save my lower left leg with the surgery but I have medical bills resulting in over $270000. I was uninsured and am still am working on assistance. I am home now but still have 9 more weeks out of 12 weeks of non weight bearing period rendering me disabled and unable to work or do much of anything. This will be followed by months of learning to walk again and no promises of full range of motion or returning to life as normal. This go fund me is to cover my upcoming out of pocket physical therapy, future medical expenses, prescriptions, personal expenses like car insurance, registration to keep my car legal my birthday is June 1st, food, and whatever else I will need including helping my family stay afloat while they are my caretakers and are fully supporting me right now. I will be out of work for at least 4 months but could be up to a year before I am somewhat back to normal. Any help is appreciated of any size. I greatly thank you for your assistance at this very difficult time. I would have made this sooner but the situation and pain was too much to concentrate on anything besides recovery. I am slightly better now and was able to create this. I have a hard time asking for help as well. But I was encouraged by many to do this so I am hoping for the best.
