Hi everyone, my name is Travis Loftis Jr., and I’m an 18-year-old senior in high school with an exciting opportunity to serve others in New York City through a school-led mission trip. Our group will be spending time at local soup kitchens, helping provide meals and care to people who are struggling. While much of our time will be focused on serving the homeless, our mission is also to encourage and uplift every person we meet—including those who volunteer and work alongside us.
This trip is special to me because I believe deeply in sharing the love of Jesus through action, kindness, and service. I’ve experienced firsthand how being a follower of Christ can transform lives, and I want to live that out in a way that brings hope to others.
Our group will also have opportunities to lead chapel services, share music, and even preach—areas that are incredibly meaningful to me. I have a passion for musical theater and performing, and I love using those talents to bring joy to people and to honor God.
A little more about me: I’ve recently enlisted in the Air National Guard, with plans to focus on HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). As I prepare for this next chapter, I want to make the most of this final year of high school by serving in ways that challenge me spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
To make this trip possible, I need your support. The funds raised will help cover travel, lodging, meals, supplies, and other expenses for the mission. Any amount, big or small, will go directly toward helping me share God’s love in one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the country.
If you’re unable to give financially, please consider praying for our team—for safety, open hearts, and opportunities to be true reflections of Christ’s compassion.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for supporting this mission in any way you can.
With gratitude,
Travis Loftis Jr.
