Hey friends and family. I wanted to keep everyone informed about my story and hopefully have an outlet to give you all some future updates. This Monday I was diagnosed with Essential Thrombocythemia, a rare chronic form of blood cancer. This month has been up and down for me, as my regular bloodwork was flagged back in May. Since then I have had regular visits to the Cancer Center of Kansas. From a bone marrow biopsy at the beginning of the month to an ultrasound to measure the size of my organs tomorrow I have been taken care of great. I started taking chemotherapy pills Tuesday and will now be going in for weekly blood labs. I appreciate all the moral support from friends, family, co workers and so on. My family has kept me motivated when I’m scared. My wife has kept me strong and helped be supportive every step of the way. I look forward to letting everyone know when I beat this. Either her or I will try to update and keep everyone up to speed on my health. Thanks everyone, love you all.
I urge everyone to go and get a bloodwork done. The only other indicator that I had this would have been a stroke.
