Remembering Travis after motorcycle accident

On the night of Monday July 15, Travis and our mom went out for a motorcycle ride. On the way home, his bike caught some freshly laid road base and it sent him into the shoulder of the road. He was able to fight his bike through the curve but hit a bump as he was about to pull the bike back onto the road and it sent his bike into a telephone pole. He was thrown approximately 40-50 feet and unfortunately was not wearing a helmet. He has been unresponsive since. He was life flighted and put on life support. It’s a miracle that he survived the impact. He is in the ICU fighting for his life. We are unable to know the extent of the brain damage at this point- but we are begging God to save him. Travis is always the one to help everyone else and this time I’m asking everyone to help him. The medical bills he will have will be insurmountable. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and offered their concern and support. Please pray for him- we know that there is power in prayer.

****UPDATE

The MRI showed Travis has a Class 3 diffuse axonal injury. Some sort of recovery is not completely impossible but we won’t know what his future holds. He has a long road ahead of him. We are praying constantly.

****Update****

Travis passed away on Friday August 2, 2024. Unfortunately his brain was too injured. We are preparing for his funeral. We have a massive void in our lives without him. Travis was able to donate several of his organs, to save the lives of others. We love you Travis.
