Traves and Brandy have been struggling with infertility for many years, experiencing heartbreak and emotional distress. They dream of starting a family and are pursuing IVF treatment. Here’s a little back history. Brandy experienced her first pregnancy at the age of 20. At that age, she also experienced her first miscarriage. About a year and a half later, she became pregnant again, also resulting in another miscarriage. Two more pregnancies, and two more miscarriages later, she started seeking medical advice and help. Brandy spoke with her obgyn and her doctor prescribed her fertility medications. After about a year of doing that, with no pregnancy, she went to OHSU fertility in Oregon. They did extensive amounts of testing, and blood work. That is when Brandy found out she has PCOS and lupus inhibitor ( where the blood clots), and also found out that 2 of her chromosomes are swapped and that is why she has had all her pregnancies ending with a painful loss. The fertility doctor told her that is exactly why she is having miscarriages. Her eggs are not viable for a pregnancy. Now they start the long journey of IVF and she has to have donor eggs.
