On April 20, 2024, my oldest brother got into a very bad motorcycle accident and got multiple injuries all over his body. He suffered a head injury, internal bleeding, injury to the hips, and his right leg. Due to his head injury, the doctors needed to remove his left bone flap as the brain was swelling. This bone flap was put into his stomach to get the nutrients it needs while the swelling and bleeding on the brain recover.
My brother has been bedridden, unable to walk for a year and a half now, and has been staying at a rehabilitation center. Due to his bone flap not being on his head to support his brain, he was unable to do physical therapy to learn to walk again. On October 2, 2025, my brother finally got the surgery to put the bone flap back in, and he was very excited because he knew after recovery he would be able to start PT for walking. It was one step closer to finally having a normal life.
Unfortunately, on October 4, 2025, I received a phone call from his hospital in California that he had suffered a massive brain bleed and was rushed to emergency surgery. After the surgery, nothing was the same. Upon waking up from that emergency surgery, my brother's blood pressure and heart rate continued to rise. He was unable to speak clearly without slurring, he complained of double vision as his eyes would not line up properly and go to the middle. The left eye always looked all the way to the left and the right all the way to the right. The weekend after his emergency surgery, I got another call from the hospital stating my brother had a stroke.
For almost 2 weeks, he was unable to really open his eyes. An NG tube had to be placed as he could not eat normal food properly. The doctors stated the cause of the stroke is his brain and his body were disagreeing. On Saturday, October 25, 2025, I got a call from the hospital at 8:00 pm that my brother had a massive hematoma on his brain and had to be rushed for another emergency surgery. The doctor said they were able to remove the hematoma, but my brother is in the ICU, intubated, and his pupils are not responding.
I am raising money so I can visit my brother as I live in Washington. I'm raising this money for flight, car rental, and hotel. As doctors can't seem to tell me the chances of my brother recovering from this, I want to be able to go see him before it's too late. The funds will help me with Flight, Hotel and Car rental costs.
