We are a group of soldiers and friends who served alongside Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan, as well as Sgt. Declan J. Coady, Maj. Jeffrey R. O'Brien, Capt. Cody A. Khork, Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, and Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor. While this fundraiser is primarily focused on supporting Rob's funeral and helping loved ones travel to Sacramento, we deeply honor the sacrifice and memory of all six remarkable individuals lost on March 1, 2026. Each of them touched countless lives through their service, leadership, and friendship, leaving a profound void in our hearts and in the communities they served.
Rob’s funeral will be held in Sacramento, California. Many of us, along with other soldiers and families from Iowa and across the country, wish to attend and pay our respects. However, the costs of travel, lodging, and other related expenses are significant barriers for many. In addition to these expenses, families are also facing the hidden costs of funerals, memorials, and caring for children or pets during this difficult time.
We are raising funds to ensure that everyone who wishes to honor Rob—and all those we lost—can do so, regardless of their financial situation. The funds will be used first to cover travel and funeral-related costs for loved ones attending Rob's funeral. If families of the other soldiers are facing financial difficulties, we will offer support to them as well. Any remaining funds will be donated to causes that honor the memory and legacy of all our fallen friends. In this time of tremendous grief for so many, please help us ensure that those who loved them most are able to pay their respects to our fallen heroes.
