SUPPORT TRAUMA-HEALING EDUCATION IN ZAMBIA
Donation protected
I am Richard Koch, author of the book, "THE MINDFUL WRITING WORKSHOP." The book is dedicated to helping teachers incorporate trauma-informed practices into their teaching, including into their writing workshop. I am working with a group in Kitwe, Zambia. I am donating my time for this project. These educators receive my book for free. The Program Coordinator for this work is Kambwali Katenga, a Vineyard Church pastor in Kitwe. He is also donating his time. We have completed an 8-week class with our first cohort of teachers--pictured above with their graduation certificates! Each teacher has written and shared a plan for a method they will use from our class to help heal trauma in Zambia schools.
The money requested here for our new group, Cohort 2, will buy 15 smartphones at 120 each (needed for each teacher to have access to Zoom), 300 for internet access time, 200 for video-taping, 200 for Kambwali's travel, and 440 for Graduation (venue, supplies). The money will come to me securely through Go Fund Me, and I can send it immediately to Kambwali by Western Union. We know there are many worthy charity needs. But we have this new cohort of teachers signed up to learn from the book and from the classes about how to heal trauma for Zambia children. Thank you for considering our request!
