Support Transition to Pittsburgh for New Job
Donation protected
2024 has been a rough year. In April, I lost my job because I didn't want to relocate from Cleveland to Lincoln, Nebraska.
We've struggled since then trying to keep the house, which pretty much drained our savings and even cashed in my 401k.
But things are looking up. I just received an offer from Allegheny County in Pittsburgh for a permanent position. But here's the problem: I've got almost nothing left. I need to find a studio apartment to live in since working for the county requires me to live there. And selling our house in Cleveland is going to take time as it needs to be cleaned up and worked on.
I found a very affordable place, but I won't get my first paycheck for 4 weeks (they pay bi-weekly). And I need to find the money for the deposit and first month's rent plus moving costs.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. I am so close to being able to take care of everything again. Just need to get through this transition.
