Tranent Football Club stands at a pivotal moment in our journey. On the pitch, we are competing at a level that reflects the ambition, passion, and hard work of everyone involved in the club.
Off the pitch, we now face a crucial challenge: meeting the SFA Bronze Licence requirements — the standards we must achieve to be eligible for promotion within the Scottish football pyramid.
To reach this milestone, we need the support of our community.
We are launching this GoFundMe to raise £200,000, which will directly fund the essential upgrades required to secure our licence and unlock the next chapter in the club’s progression.
What the Funding Will Deliver
Achieving Bronze Licence status requires significant investment in our facilities and infrastructure.
Your support will help us complete the following essential projects:
• Pitch widening and associated groundwork To meet SFA regulations, the playing surface must be widened. This involves major groundwork, turf installation, and reconfiguration of the surrounding areas.
• Relocation of dugouts and floodlights Widening the pitch means repositioning both dugouts and floodlight columns — a complex and costly operation that must be completed to maintain compliance and safety standards.
• A new 100‑seat covered stand Bronze Licence criteria require a minimum number of seated, covered spaces. This new stand will enhance the matchday experience and bring our ground up to national standards.
• 400‑capacity covered standing area To support our growing fanbase and meet SFA requirements, we must provide additional covered standing accommodation.
• Professional financial audit A full financial audit is mandatory for Bronze Licence approval. This ensures the club meets governance and sustainability standards expected at higher levels of the game.
These upgrades are not optional — they are essential for Tranent FC to progress. With your help, we can complete them.
Why This Matters
Promotion isn’t just about league tables. It’s about growth, opportunity, and pride. Achieving Bronze Licence status will:
• Allow us to compete for promotion
• Strengthen the long‑term future of the club
• Improve facilities for supporters, players, and the wider community
• Inspire the next generation of young footballers in East Lothian
• Tranent FC has always been more than a football club. We are a community hub, a source of local pride, and a place where people come together. These improvements will benefit everyone who cares about the club’s future.
