My mom, Tracy, is not only an incredible mother, but also a loving sister, daughter, and “Mimi” to her grandchildren. She has always been the strongest person I know, but our world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer—the most advanced stage of this devastating disease. Tracy loved her job and her coworkers dearly, but because of her diagnosis and treatments, she is no longer able to work, which has placed a tremendous financial strain on our family. My dad, who is also a cancer survivor, struggles with lasting effects from his own battle and is finding it difficult to work as well. We also lost my little sister to cancer in 2009. On top of coping emotionally, we are now facing overwhelming medical bills and living expenses. We are raising funds to help cover her treatments, care, and daily needs so we can focus on supporting her through this fight.
