Support Tracy's Battle Against Brain and Lung Cancer
Donation protected
On May 1st, my mom, Tracy, went to the doctor because she hadn’t been feeling like herself. After some tests, it was discovered that she had a tumor on her brain. She was immediately taken by ambulance to the UW Health University Hospital Neurology Clinic in Madison. On May 3rd, she underwent surgery to remove the tumor, which was found to be cancerous. After surgery, she spent several days in recovery and was transferred to the UW Rehab Clinic on May 8th. On the same day, we were informed that a mass had been found in her lungs, diagnosed as non-small cell lung cancer.
Mom came home on May 14th and is recovering well. She will be undergoing radiation on her brain to prevent any regrowth. Further tests are being conducted on her lungs to determine the best course of action moving forward, which will include additional radiation and chemotherapy. We expect to have a clearer plan after June 9th. This journey came out of nowhere, but we are doing our best to navigate the challenges as a family.
We are reaching out for help in raising funds to manage the overwhelming medical bills. Thank you so much to everyone who has shown love and support during this time. My mom is truly the strongest, most loving, and beautiful person you’ll ever meet. She is the heart and soul of our family, and we’re fighting alongside her every step of the way.
